Youth Ages 16–21

Independent Living Program

3-tier housing model with life skills training, cultural programming, and wraparound support for youth aging out of care.

Graduated reunification support — supervised visits, overnight stays, and full family reunification with 24/7 staffing.

How to make a referral

We accept referrals from CFS agencies, social workers, probation officers, hospitals, shelters, and community organisations.

Fill Out the Form

Complete the referral form below with your information and the youth's details. It takes about 5 minutes.

Intake Conversation

We'll schedule a call to discuss the youth's needs, history, and whether New Steps is a good fit.

Assessment

If eligible, we'll meet with the youth (and you, if appropriate) for an in-person assessment.

Placement

When a spot is available and the match is right, we'll coordinate the move-in and onboarding.
