New Steps ILP serves Indigenous youth in Winnipeg who are aging out of care or at risk of homelessness. Here's what you need to know.
16 to 21 years old at time of intake
Indigenous youth (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) — status or non-status
Residing in or relocating to Winnipeg, Manitoba
Aging out of CFS care, in care, formerly in care, or at risk of homelessness
Open to participating in the program — attending workshops, following house agreements, and working toward personal goals
